What a colony includes

• A hived wooden box with a solid brood mass and bees covering the comb.
• A laying queen — we do not sell queenless colonies.
• Setup guidance: siting the box, ant defence, reading the entrance.
• Phone and Zalo support through your first season.

What to do when it arrives

• Day 1: place the box where you chose — midday shade, no standing water, flowering plants nearby. Then leave it there.
• Days 2–7: leave it alone. Opening the lid daily is the most common reason a colony absconds.
• Week 2 onward: watch the entrance for ten minutes every few days. It tells you more than one look inside.
• Ants: stand the legs in water cups or use a grease band. Ants are the number one cause of colony loss here.

When can you harvest

A strong colony, well sited and with enough forage, usually gives a first harvest after about six months — a few hundred millilitres per run — and can be split once or twice a year. A badly sited or ant-troubled colony takes far longer. Placement decides most of the outcome.

Can a complete beginner keep them?

Yes. Stingless bees do not sting and need almost no intervention. The hard part is patience, not technique.

Can you ship a colony?

Yes — the box is sealed and travels overnight while it is cool. Buyers further away should call first so we can pick a suitable dispatch day.

Will they live on an apartment balcony?

Yes, if there is midday shade and flowering plants around. A balcony in full sun all day will weaken the colony.
